NASA Alumni League (NAL) Holiday Luncheon
It’s time for holiday cheer and a great NASA Alumni League, Florida Chapter luncheon on December 18th at the KSC Visitor Complex. Our resident DJ, Sam Haddad, will provide the music; Delaware North’s chefs will provide the food and beverages; and there will be door prizes, fellowship, and fun for all who attend. NOTE: There is a SpaceX launch the day of our holiday luncheon, window is 9:24-9:50am. Please plan for traffic accordingly. Tickets are $18 for members and $20 for invited guests. Cutoff for Registration is noon Sunday, December 16th. The event check-in opens at 11:00 and you will need your NALFL Member Badge or a parking pass for complimentary parking at the KSC VC. Advance Notice: January Meeting Features Gatorland Safety Manger There will be no December meeting of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP), Space Coast Chapter. Please plan to attend our 1st meeting of 2019 on Jan. 11th. The topic is “Sharing Space with Florida Wildlife”. Robert Garza, Gatorland Safety Manager will discuss how to safely co-exist with the alligators, snakes, and other “critters” that call Florida home. Meetings are held 11:30am-1:00pm at Sonny’s BBQ, 2900 Cheney Highway, Titusville (exit 215 I-95) in an effort to be more convenient to our Brevard and Volusia County members. Advance Notice: ACFS Safety Day 2019 to be Held March 27, 2019 in Orlando The Alliance for Central Florida Safety (ACFS) is pleased to announce Safety Day 2019 will be on Wednesday, March 27th, 2019 at the Rosen Plaza, 9700 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819. This year as part of the program we are offering the “Compression Only CPR” during the 3:00 – 4:00 pm hour. Attendees who participate will learn techniques on how to administer life-saving medical care and will be given a certificate of participation. The early registration cost is $20 before December 31st, 2018. After December 31st, the registration cost is $30 and $50 at the door. Cost includes parking, buffet lunch and ASSP CEUs.
